"Following a record-breaking 2024, we’re aiming for an even bigger Australian Open celebration, launching the tennis season globally with more tennis, more entertainment, and a host of fresh initiatives to bring fans closer to the action than ever before," he said.

This year, the Australian Open 2025 will debut Evonne Goolagong Cawley Day, honouring the tennis legend, alongside returning favourites like All Abilities Day, Hot Shots Tennis Day, Women & Girls Day, and Pride Day. Celebrations for Evonne Goolagong Cawley and John Newcombe, both marking 50 years since their 1975 AO victories, will add a nostalgic touch to the event. Newcombe will be featured on the coin toss for all Summer of Tennis matches, a tradition Goolagong Cawley enjoyed in 2024.
With the AO’s broadcast reach growing, the 2024 event saw an impressive 558 million unique viewers worldwide, up 57% from 2023. Social media engagement was also record-breaking, with 3.8 billion impressions, reflecting the incredible global appetite for AO content. Fans can look forward to an enhanced viewing experience in 2025, whether they’re attending in person or tuning in from around the world.
